Our "Son" Rygel
We adopted an 8-week-old "beagle mix" puppy from the Irving Animal
Shelter in April of 2010. He was feisty but loving - a perfect mix for
us. The vet ensured us that this little guy wouldn't get over 20-25lbs.
Needless to say, we are nearly a year later, and our "beagle" has
turned out to be more coonhound than anything. At a whopping 60 lbs, he
still believes he can curl up as a lap dog. We have put in the effort
of taking him from puppy to advanced and click-a-trick training. He
will do just about anything for a quick snack of milk bones and bully
springs. Even with his size surprise, I can't imagine another little
man to spoil and snuggle with as he tries to push us off the bed at
night.
